GUEST PERFORMANCE with Sôdra Communityteatern (Sweden)

A performance about living on the edge, a performance that balances between the deepest reason and the ease of comedy, on the verge of cracking and collapsing ... but also a performance that is looking behind the concepts of newcomers, refugees, immigrants and migrantsWho is she, the human - in reality?

Semir, Dana and Hadi all fled from war to peace in Sweden.
Semir and Dana arrived in the early 90's when the bombers flew over the former Yugoslavia. Hadi came from the Middle East just two years ago. Hadi arrived at the very last second to a new home, an open country, which received him and bid him welcome. Today he would have been refused the possibility to be reunited with his brothers. Loulou talks about another war, about being judged by his looks and outer skin.

Bertolt Brecht's classic, Mutter Courage, serves as a frame and interweave the stories of Samir, Danas, Hadis and Loulou to create a performance about how war is still the same. The suffering and repression still take place, and must continue to talk about it!

SKIN WAR HOME are the voices of war and the pain amongst  us. The performance makes it impossible to keep words like persecution and torture at a distance, as something that does not concern our country, and it saves us from becoming dumb and humanely immune.
