Iben Nagel Rasmussen actor at Odin Teatret, Denmark since 1966 will together with violinist Elena Floris (collaborating with Iben since 2005) hold a seminar focusing on the training developed by I.N.R. and The Bridge of Winds since 1989. The Bridge of Winds is an international group of actors, directors and scenographers who meet annual at Odin Teatret or in different countries in South America and Europe.

We have divided the physical training into four different kinds of exercises. Each type will develop different kinds of energy.

The pupils will be introduced to:

  • The samurai exercises: earthbound and strong.
  • Out of balance: risky and precarious
  • The so called “green energy” which is both slow and strong.
  • And the wind-dance: the core of our training.

We will not only be working on the pure technic but explore how we can create a score with few and simple elements. And how these elements can relate to a partner, a prop, just the space or an imaginary situation.

The voice-training is based on resonators as developed by Jerzy Grotowsky.

Elena Floris will be teaching body and voice coordination. She will introduce the pupils to different body-percussion exercises together with polyphonic songs in order to develop a consciousness of the body’s voice.

The pupils should bring a text they know by heart and loose/comfortable training clothes.
