We know very well that being on stage means speaking to the public. In the dark you can hear breaths, imperfections, coughs. You feel life. Theatre is presence, that is clear, but at this moment in time we did not want to give up such a precious and important opportunity.
For this reason we have decided to go on stage on Saturday 31 October at 8.45 pm and Sunday 1 November at 6.30 pm despite the absence of the public, as per the covid-19 restrictions.
LA CASA DEL SORDO - a capriccio on Goya, a performance by Eugenio Barba with Else Marie Laukvik, Rina Skeel and Frans Winther, will be broadcast live. The streaming will not be a recording, but of the actual performance being performed in real time on stage on both days, exactly as scheduled and each night will therefore be different and unique. A strong and polite way to tell about our resistance.
Technology is certainly a tool that we hope can fill the momentary void and which makes us think about our future. We believe that this event can still be a ritual, although we are not meeting eye to eye, not able to exchange hugs or greetings, but still a ritual that we will remember over time. Another opportunity to be a community.
Each streaming session can admit 150 spectators, which is why we advise you to hurry up and buy your ticket.
