Menlo Park Think Tank is an idea forum and an alternative think-tank consisting of a group of creative and entrepreneurial, curious and positive 'West-Jutlanders' gathered from both business and cultural life across industries, regions, competencies, gender, age, experiences. The common goal is to create new initiatives, generate new types of collaborations, thereby creating activity in West Jutland region for the benefit of all. We call these activities GROWTH X initiatives. The think-tank has met five times in 2017, each time in a new and inspiring place. The meetings have been over 2 days: afternoon and evening and then a follow-up meeting the next morning and is now continuing its activities trying to implement some of the ideas.

The members of Menlo Park are selected after a long process where about 150 candidates have been in play and where all members have been personally interviewed. The personal interview is important as we know that it is the members' personal strengths and internal interactions that generate the right forum, courage and motivation to dare to innovate in a committed community that requires a creative, inspiring and constructive process. In the selection of members, emphasis was placed on finding the right mix of open, competent and curious people affiliated with the region.

Kim Barba (DK)

”If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always have what you’ve always had”

I enjoy embarking on new journeys always working with positive, open and generous people.

I am curious, committed and with great drive. I enjoy identifying possibilities and generating new ideas through both conventional and unconventional thinking, believing that a dynamic, open, dedicated and positive process will ensure the best results for all.

CEO at the Danish Shareholders Association working with strategy, business development and creativity.

I have always had a passion for facilitating commercial ideas and cultural projects focusing on a meaningful return on investment. For me a meaningful return is not only limited to a financial return but should equally be thought of as a personal return: that which is important and meaningful to you as an individual as well as to the society that we are all a part of.
