Mine presents two people in a space. It is a dark room, an underground cave. Maybe it is an old mine, where somebody used to work in. Nobody knows how long they have been there or why are they there. Why don´t they leave? Is there a way to get out? Their time seems to be a never-ending thread that demands to be used well.

The performance deals with the themes of existence and the questions of life's meaningfulness. It combines elements of physical theatre, tap dance and an innovative using of a wheel chair. The actors and director of 'Mine' have created a common language for the metals of tap shoes and wheelchairs, bringing together two different ways of expression in movement, rhythm and storytelling.

”Mine” is the first full long production of Steel, theatre and performance ensemble formed in Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium. The ensemble consists of Niels Kristian Brinth, Vilja Itkonen and Marije Nie who have worked together in Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium in Holstebro from autumn 2016. The process started when Marije was teaching Brinth to tap dance with his wheelchair. This dance developed into a short demo work directed by Vilja.

The performance is recommended for audience older than 12 years.
