New performance re-evaluates motherhood

Can all mothers make pancakes? Can all mothers be a mother? Is a woman’s natural impulse towards motherhood a decision or a psychical condition to which she must subject? How can you choose to become, to be or to remain a mother and can two competitive half-sisters, raised the same but with different minds, make this decision? It is this exact dilemma that compel the two women to dive into old memories and feature in breath-taking confrontations.

The Empty Nest is an inspiring journey from the activities of daily life into a world of doubt and denial. The two actresses are able to transfer the sterile stage to pure chaos through intense duels and uncontrolled games. In this very cosmos of crackled memories, sprouting hope and a lot of broken eggshells they must ask themselves the question: ‘To be or not to be a mother?’

With a firm grip on the ineffable character of motherhood, The Empty Nest is able to manufacture a sarcastic, nuanced and reel picture, displaying the role of a mother in the intersection between child- and adulthood.
