Silvia Battaglio studied classic dance at Centro Didattico di Torino (Turin) directed by Sara Acquarone, contemporary dance with Simona Bucci and Adriana Borriello, and dance theatre with Roberto Castello, Michela Lucenti, Abbondanza/Bertoni.

She attended intensive therapy dance and Laban technique workshops at Art Therapy Italiana in Bologna. She completed a physical theatre specialization in Corso di Specializzazione Superiore di teatro fisico at Emilia Romagna Teatro Fondazione in 2001. There she took part in Romeo e Giulietta (Festival di Santarcangelo 2002).

She then took part to the 3rd edition Butrinti International Festival (Albania). Touring in Italy and abroad ended in December 2002.

She worked with Roberto Castello (Aldes) in Biosculture (TorinoDanza 2004), for Rai and Torino Film Festival. She choreographed Il viaggio di Ulisse, first performed in 2006/2007 at Teatro Stabile, Turin.

For the past few years she's has been concentrating intensely on teaching, with a tight schedule of thematic workshops in collaboration with Tangram Teatro, Odin Teatret (Dk), Università degli Studi (Turin) and Teatro Stabile (Turin).

In 2004 she began building her own theatrical discourse as director and performer of her own shows.
