Dedicated to Malika Boussouf and Susan Sontag

The performance recounts without words a story which happened all over the world.

In northern Europe lived the hidden people of elves, trolls, fairies, gnomes and fantastic animals. Our grandparents were afraid yet fascinated by them. They tried to avoid them, but often bumped into them in the darkness of the night or the mists of the day. They talked to them in whispers, were inspired by their presence and behaviour, sometimes even letting themselves be seduced.

Then Progress arrived with the dazzling brightness of clarity.
